"Seattle Missed Connections" is a bit of a misnomer. Really, the 37 included entries were posted from varying locations across the entire Puget Sound region and a bit beyond, as far south as Ashford and as far west as Aberdeen. Their contents include pleas and messages to old lovers, old friends, old bartenders, and, overwhelmingly, to strangers. A single night spent together at the Hotel Vintage. A vape shared at a Dropkick Murphys concert. A greeting given in the garden center of a Walmart. The people you meet everyday are meeting you too; the people you see are seeing you back.
50 of these zines have been hidden around Washington, on beaches and at coffee shops, in little free libraries and in newsboxes, on trailheads and summits and wherever else I managed to stick them. I do hope, perhaps a bit selfishly, that this endeavor helps some of these messages find their intended recipients. If you recognize yourself in any of these pages, you can email their posters at the included email addresses or write your own missed connection here.
If you find one of these zines, I hope you enjoy it. If you don't feel the urge to hold onto it, I encourage you to leave it somewhere you think someone else might find it.
Additional zines can be purchased for $5 shipped. Please email me at rosiemar19@gmail.com to purchase.
